How we plan your wedding?

1. Videocall to get to know us first time and your location wishes in Switzerland

We will get to know each other video call and I will introduce you to my wedding planning step by step. If you like my style and have not yet found a location, I will start with a location scouting for you. I need to know the location to make a first estimated budget for you.

2. Location Scouting

The most important thing for a wedding is to find the perfect location for you. If you don't have one yet, I will look for the best 4 Top locations for you in Switzerland or abroad that exactly match your wishes and your schedule. You get a presentation within 2 weeks with a good description of each location, prices for rental, prices for food and drinks and stay overnight, photos, websites, contacts. This will help you to find the best location for your wedding. If you already have found a location, let's skip this point.

3. Wedding Coaching

After you have found your desired location, I will invite you to a wedding coaching session with me. You will receive a questionnaire beforehand, which you will fill out individually and then together and return to me. During the coaching you will learn everything that is important for wedding planning. It would be best to start planning 1-2 years in advance (smaller weddings even sooner), depending on the location and the complexity of the wedding planning. You will receive a detailed wedding planner from me with the appropriate time management. We will then discuss your wishes in detail. After the coaching, I will create an individual budget for you and can give you an approximate estimate of the effort and price for my wedding planning and the entire wedding. You can then decide whether you want full service planning, partial wedding planning, a free wedding ceremony with me or me as your officiant on your big day.

Not only did he work with us to put together a ceremony tailored to our wishes (and all the fine details to go with it), but he also helped arrange for flowers, a photographer, and transportation for our guests to go from the town to the castle where the ceremony was to be held. On the 6th of October 2022, we decided to have our civil marriage ceremony at Interlaken, Switzerland. Both me and my wife are students in Switzerland, I am doing my PhD in Zurich and my wife is doing her Masters at Bern, and both of us are International students (only English speaking). Being students we were not at a high end budget, so we were looking out for the best we can do at a lower budget. And to be honest, it would never have been possible without Jan.

Luckily we got in touch with him 3 weeks before the civil marriage ceremony, and he arranged a first meeting at his office with me and my wife, where we explained him all our wishes and our budget, and he tried his best to note everything down and make a draft of the wedding plan in front of us. We wanted a sweet and small civil marriage ceremony in the heart of Switzerland, and that's what he exactly made it to be. In the first meeting we did the pre-payment and got the contract ready with him and within a week of the first meeting, we got a complete set of offers for all the services we needed, and most of them corresponding to our budget that we had. He arranged a perfect location for the reception, at Hotel Interlaken, just 2 minutes walking distance from the civil office, so that we along with our guests could go there directly, without any hastle. The reception area was amazing, as we got both the pavilion (indoor), and the garden attached (outdoor), perfect area for a beautiful wedding, with a superb aperitif. He also arranged the flowers, wedding arch, the wedding cake, translator (in English for the civil ceremony), and also a photographer and a videographer for the complete ceremony, who did a great job. We would highly recommend Jan, as a wedding planner, for anyone who would like to tie a knot in Switzerland. Heartiest thanks to you Jan, for making our day so special.

Wedding planning conditions: (120 Fr / hour):

Reservation fee of 1000 Fr. after signing the contract. Then i charge you a monthly invoice will be issued according to the hours i worked for you. You will see all the work always that i have done for you in a report. This money is necessary to start my work for you and organise everything for you. This money of the reservation is not lost, it will be added to the wedding planner fee with the final payment. I am flexible and will always give everything to fulfill your wishes.

Bills always paid in Swiss francs CHF. In Europe you can pay with the IBAN system QR CODE. In Switzerland TWINT is also possible. Internationally you can pay with all major credit cards plus 2.6% fees (VISA, MASTERCARD; AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINERS, UNION, DISCOVER, VPAY, EC MAESTRO CARD, APPLE PAY, GOOGLE PAY).

What is a Wedding ritual?

The wedding ritual in the sy,mbolic wedding ceremony expresses in depth your common bond as a couple. We search together for a symbol of your love and I find the right words and a beautiful ritual for it. Often I make very individual rituals....

Some examples:

Sand ritual - Very popular for symbolic weddings. It remembers the place where the couple got engaged or met during the vacations.

Wine ritual - Germanic. The couple drinks a glass together. Are you getting married at a winery? In wine lies the truth an old wisdom tells us.

You make the formality for civil marriage in your country at the Swiss embassy (3 month before). I help you and know all the steps has to be done for it.
